The lasts are leaving this world... Faith, gods and goddesses have been taken away... Great shamans, great narrators, and
great masters have passed without trace. And the soul of Khant nation has left this world with them...
Moreover, Khants themselves are leaving... It is difficult to hear Khant's word "yakh" through roar of petroleum pumping rockers now.
But we still have a possibility to get in touch with almost primeval culture.
There is a high tension, like between two aerial conductors, in Surgut now. Possible, only Surgut State Museum of Arts can decrease
it, to give us understanding of this place. Can it?
The movie was filmed from July, 12 to July, 16 and from August, 13 to August, 20, 2000
